What do I want?

To go to law school. Like, immediately. As in- right now. I’m almost contemplating taking classes through the summer so I can graduate in December. ::ponder ponder::

I never take summers off though, EVER. I really kind of want to relax this summer and clear my head from the constant schooling; actually ENJOY the florida summer. What a dilemma… I don’t have anything useful or interesting to write about this time around.. I spent my whole day studying for finance. I just upgraded to the new version of word-press. I know! It took me so long! It’s like I live in the dark ages.. or maybe it was just that I was too lazy. Also, the custom theme is still in progress. No longer will I have to use these god awful pre-fabricated ones!

I received a call the other day because my friend in the honor society used me as a reference for a job at citi-group. The guy started talking to me on the phone about her, then he asked if I ever worked in a finance related field before. I said “no.. but I AM a finance major. I don’t know how much weight THAT carries” and he’s like “OH GOD! YES!” (like I was the messiah or something) and he demanded an interview with me for a new office they’re opening in Orlando. It’s not a bank- so I’m not sure what kind of paperwork or clients I’ll be working with, but we’ll see. It’s pretty freakin’ awesome to have somebody call YOU for a job. Let’s see if it’s everything it sounds like though.

Also! I demand that you go see Coraline 3-D immediately! It is this amazing and creepy stop motion film that is extremely “alice in wonderland”-esque. I was consumed while watching this movie. Until the jerk up in the little room projecting the movie decided to turn on those gross yellow overhead lights and let them spill into the theater. Boooo. Make sure you get the 3′D glasses. We sat down, and the movie told us to put them on, so we look at eachother like .. “what?? where?? glasses??? 3-D??” and everyone, like clockwork, pulls their stunner-shade 3-D glasses down over their heads. They aren’t the old retro blue and red kind. Ohhh no. These are pretty damn sweet looking. So… yeah. Go see Coraline and stuff.

Check back.. and sorry for the pointless post. Though I shouldn’t be apologizing.. you’re the one who came here after all :)

A few afflictions

First- to read the rest of this post, click the title. I’m working on getting it to display the whole thing on the front page, but to no avail. So far. I don’t have anything interesting to write about yet, but I feel guilty cause I haven’t put up anything in a few days. Well, anything interesting or worth while. I promise in another day or two I’ll come up with some amazing post that is just as, if not more, audacious than my “time” post. I haven’t been able to read new scientist or stalk cnn/other websites because… let me count the ways:

  1. Finance is consuming my soul. I’ve never seen so many ratios in my life. I would much rather have law consume my soul than finance, but such is life at the moment.
  2. Our house is haunted. That’s right. Toothbrushes starting to vibrate on their own, even after we walk up to it and turn it off. We finally took the batteries out. Garage door on the inside opening by itself and the door chime going off. We come home, after DISTINCTLY closing the office door (I know this because it makes a huge slam for some reason, and I made some comment about it because it made me sound like a badass. Lol) and it was cracked open when we got home. The chime for the garage door going off and it DIDN’T open. It’s getting tricky now. Ummm… some plastic bag fiasco, but I don’t know what I attribute that to. So yeah.
  3. Kickboxing has officially kicked my ass, because I’m the only crazy person who takes it 3 times in the span of 5 days. My butt hurts. My calves hurt. My shoulders hurt (because I’m the only girl it seems who does real push-ups and not those gay little knee-ups). More so because my leg is still sore from crazy pony carting accident. It’s bruised. I’m whiny. I’m going to go cry now.
  4. Getting up early for class is taking its toll on me. I am soooo not a morning person, and I really need to be. Night time is for playing! Doesn’t college know that!?
  5. I can’t stalk CNN because my management professor is too busy talking about Degree Deodorant, crack cocaine, cheese puffs, gold-bond (and YES! It was for THAT reason), owning children, and various other random and completely unrelated (yet TOTALLY related) things.
  6. Having a house is a lot of work! We eat much more than I actually realized. The dishes are out of control and I may just keep the dishwasher on permanent cycle.

But most importantly… the ultimate reason that I cannot, at this very moment, create an intriguing, interesting, humorous and/or smarty-pants post is because… there is delicious, succulent, amazing, tasty, scrumptious, mouth-watering, delectable, exquisite, and last but not least.. HEAVENLY… bacon wrapped fillet in the oven. I think I’ll have a serious breakdown if I accidentally burn them because OMG THEY LOOK SO YUMMY! I would also like to apologize if this post made no sense at all. Which is should of.. and if it didn’t then I think that’s more your problem than mine… just kidding. But seriously. I’ve had two coffees, two emergen-c energy booster drinks, and a banana vanilla smoothie with lots of espresso in it. I am pretty wired… you’re lucky you aren’t here. I’m also lucky that shane is putting up with my bouncy-ness.

That is all. Check back in a few days after Finance’s first week exam has released me from its icy grip. BYE! :)

'That One'

Who is ‘that one’ you may ask!? The one, the only….*drum roll pleaaaaase*

Barack Obama!!

During the presidential debate John Mccain kindly (*cough* not so kindly) referred to Barack Obama as “that one”. What he didn’t know was he was throwing fuel into the fire for the media to come up with this WONDERFUL website that makes me giggle everytime I see it. http://thatone08.com/

Please click onto the song bahahaha it’ll get stuck in your head for hours.

That is all. Sorry for the short post.

OH! ALSO!! I know I have lotssss of wonderful readers that like to stalk my blog, so I just wanted to clue you in on the fact that I have a JOBBY JOB! That’s right kids, I have a job writing :) I am the new voice of “Helpmepaymyloans.com” WHICH (aside from the name that sounds a little not so college friendly) is actually a really informative and neato website. I’m covering everything that has to do with the financial sector and making it FUN! I put up one post already and I’ll be attempting to get between 2-4 every week. Go stalk it because the more people that go there, the more sponsors we get, and the more supplementary income I will have to support my coffee habit :)

Also, since I have an extremely high flow of traffic through my website, I’m interested in finding a business or website (big or small) that would like to be featured in that handy dandy little advertising block I have going on. You would be somewhat of a sponsor… We negotiate a very small fee and everyone who consistantly goes to my website will see your advertisement. I’m sure you know how it works. If you’re interested then just shoot me an email at svn@knights.ucf.edu

Yay for bill clinton!

First, to start off, pleaseee excuse the appearance of my blog. I’m messing with this design to see if I like it. The links to my other pages are on the top right in the first of those little icons. It’s a little confusing. It will most likely be changed soon.. okay now that THAT’S out of the way-So Bill Clinton came to my campus for the Obama rally, to show his support for him. It was actually pretty cool because I’ve never been 50 feet away from a president [well, ex-president]. We got there and had a hell of a time parking… and in the time we parked we watched some civic fly around the corner of the parking garage and totally sideswipe this parked truck. He didn’t even stop or anything! Sucks to be him though because his civic was new and the side was probably real messed up. So after that, we proceeded to walk to the event. There was a line winding all the way around 4 different buildings. The event was so huge that they moved it to the ouside of the UCF arena so everyone could watch! The sun was beating down on us and of COURSE I wore a long sleeve because I was afraid the arena would be cold. I sure learned my lesson haha.

He spoke, saying that he supported the bail out, and it needed to be done in order to save our economy. Pretty much, he said everything I was writing about in one of my previous posts. I was sitting on shane’s shoulders to see, it was so effin hot!!!! I ended up feeling sick and I had to walk to the campus Barnes and Nobles to get a drink. Haha I was so shaky at register the guy was like “… are you okay? Do you need an escort to your car?!” I’m like “NOOOO it’s just really hot- ring me out please NOW I need water!!!!!”

Unfortunately by the time I got out of the building, the speech was already over. But it was amazing.

I would also like to say that I’m meeting with somebody who runs a fairly succesful finance blog for college students, and he wants me to have a job writing for him :) The income comes in from the sponsors!! I’m so excited! He wanted my writing style in his blog cause he liked it alot. It’s going to be the coolest finance blog ever. I’ll make sure of it. So if you would like to follow me there, I’ll be posting details after I meet with him.

I’ll be still keeping this one of course cause I can write about whatever I want. So don’t worry :)
